Ruger 44 Magnum Stainless Steel Revolver recoil?

I'm going to my hunting club for the weekend with my dad to shoot some of our guns with some other buddies of mine and his. I told him to take his Ruger 44 magnum revolver because I want to shoot it some so that I can deer hunt with it this year. I want to stand up there and shoot it to show all of my buddies that I can handle it, but I am wondering how much recoil to expect out of it. I have seen videos on youtube of an 11 year old girl shooting a 44 mag, and it looks to me like its not bad.
