Will a stainless steel necklace leave a green mark on your neck after a long period of use?

I am not that familiar with jewelry and want to buy a necklace that I can wear for just everyday activities and not worry about it being cheap or leaving a green mark (or any mark on my neck) will stainless steel provide that? I want a stainless steel beaded dog tag necklace would that be a good choice..stainless steel i mean? thanks in advance
