Has anyone had luck repiercing their navels? pleaseee help?

ive asked this a few times but i either get no answers or really stupid ones. my 9 month old navel piercing just rejected (not all the way i took it out before it came through the skin) i think it was because of over cleaning, not the BEST quality metal, it was surgical or stainless steel i dont remember, and after 3 months i changed it a couple times before it was fully healed, but then i put the original one back. has anyone had any luck repiercing rejected navel piercings and had them heal and not reject? im redoing it in the fall with titanium, i miss it so much and want it back for good
