Which is best when picking out a ring: stainless steel, sterling silver, or titanium?

It depends on the kind of wear you're looking to get out of it. Sterling silver is fine for your average ring, but it's not appropriate for a wedding ring. It also tarnishes so there's a lot of maintenance to it. Titanium is popular for wedding rings because it's so durable, especially for men, who are supposedly working with their hands more. That said, if anything ever happens, such as the ring getting snagged on something, it has to be cut off at a hospital, because they're the only ones with tools capable of cutting it.
